- The Hiatus -

Hello my lovely readers! It's been a while, I guess this is a mini update if you will before I get back to that blogging life.

I apologise for the blog taking a hiatus. I'm about three months behind on my wrap-ups, not because I haven't read anything, but because March was keeping me busy with ongoing assessments and assignments, and as soon as we broke up from uni, exam season descended and I reluctantly gave up any life I had in exchange for cram-revising like a lunatic. My reading, naturally, also took a hiatus. Well, not entirely. I'm a pro procrastinator and love to break my own rules so I made a compromise and figured the best way to go about reading during exam period, is re-reading old favourites. It means I can get away with reading a chapter at a time in snappy revision breaks without losing the constant fight of just one more chapter that leads to lost hours/days/weeks of revision. It's a win-win! I will, of course, be getting round to writing the reviews I have a backlog of though I'm thinking I'll just do a spring/summer wrap-up because the reviews will be few and far between.

Also, you may or may not know that Ramadan has already blessed us with its presence. It will possibly/potentially/likely (will) start tomorrow night and no, I'm not ready for it. Excited...but not ready. It hasn't hit me that in a day or two we'll be fasting, my mind simply hasn't caught up with that reality. But while I cope with the long days and nights, I will once again be writing my Ramadan Journal series so keep an eye out for that. And beyond that, I have lots of content I want to put out there that I have lined up for the summer and that I'm excited to write and for you to read.

Other than that, I hope you've had a successful and smooth exam season if you're one of those poor souls still being subjected to student life, and if you have exams still to come, happy studying! And to those faithful few who have been reading in my absence and who continue to keep up with my posts, thank you for being my motivation to write, post, and keep this writing space going - it always means more than you know.
